•| Musings with MB |• Living the life of a modern day Christian hippie.

Welcome to my podcast!  I’m an entrepreneur and an amateur podcaster, so you can expect nerdy talks on anything from practical everyday life topics such as household organization, to spiritual conversations from my Christian worldview.  You’ll hear interviews to explore different perspectives, topics that are extensions from my Blog: Musings with MB  https://mbavandenbergh.wixsite.com/my-site where I share things from my heart, and times where I will share through the lens of my 🌿Life Coaching with MB🌿 perspective.  As you’ll see in my tagline - I’m living the life of a modern day Christian hippie, as we’re living in our RV with our fur baby, and navigating life where we park it!  Will you join me as a listener on this journey?  Website https://lifecoachmb.wordpress.com/ YouTube https://youtube.com/@LifecoachingwithMB?si=UuuRQx5nN0D5Lkb0

In this day in age we can't get far without hope. After reading an article on psychology today in why we should not have hope, I felt inspired to share why I think hope IS important!

This episode focuses on the lies we believe, how to become more self aware to take them captive, and focus on truth.

This group recording isn't the best quality, so forgive how choppy it sounds. For some reason it plays back sped up in parts where it sounds like we're talking over each other. This is a mystery because it was not sounding this way in realtime - this endeavor is a work in progress!
Thanks for your patience.
In today's episode I have the pleasure of interviewing my friend, Dorian Watson of D.M. Watson Consulting, LLC https://www.dmwatsonconsulting.com/

In addition to running her business, Dorian is a lay speaker and Faith Driven Entrepreneur Group Facilitator. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. https://www.faithdrivenentrepreneur.org/pray-with-us

This episode highlights how helpers often only help others, and not themselves.
It's so common, and yet something that needs to be encouraged to stop -- what I mean is, helpers should keep helping others -- but need to help themselves MORE!
It's not self-centered, or immoral to want to take care of your own needs, even though you spend more time tending to the needs of others.
Funny timing because one of the authors I follow released an article this morning on the topic I'm covering in this episode, I will share here: https://www.livewellwithsharonmartin.com/self-care-codependency-recovery/ Is someone in your household snoring or grinding, and need a mouth guard? check this out, for self-care purposes: https://amzn.to/4k8OvTq
